Welcome to the Ulster Institutional Repository

The Ulster Institutional Repository (UIR) is an electronic archive of research material created by researchers of Ulster University and showcases the research and scholarly output of the University across all subjects and disciplines.

The University recognises the importance of free and unrestricted access to its scholarly outputs and the importance of maximising the impact of Ulster's research worldwide. Contributions are welcome from Ulster academic and research staff.

Please Note: We are in the process of fully migrating the Ulster Institutional Repository (UIR) to our new Research Information System PURE. The UIR is no longer available to deposit/review research output, however you can still temporarily search existing publications through the Search page. We are working to migrate all data into PURE and envisage full repository functionality within the coming fortnight. For further infomation on PURE, please visit Pure Support If you have any further queries or have an output that should be uploaded urgently for Open Access compliance, please contact refoa@ulster.ac.uk

In July 2015 HEFCE finalised the 'Policy for open access in the post-2014 Research Excellence Framework' which requires certain outputs to be made Open Access in order to be eligible for REF. To find out more and ensure that your outputs meet this requirement click here.
