The Ulster Institutional Repository (UIR) is an electronic archive of research material created by researchers of Ulster University and showcases the research and scholarly output of the University across all subjects and disciplines.
The University recognises the importance of free and unrestricted access to its scholarly outputs and the importance of maximising the impact of Ulster's research worldwide. Contributions are welcome from Ulster academic and research staff.
PhD theses from the University can be accessed through ETHoS (the British Library Electronic Theses Online Service) at (http://ethos.bl.uk).
Please note that the UIR is a growing repository and in its current state is not a complete record of Ulster's research output.
In July 2015 HEFCE finalised the 'Policy for open access in the post-2014 Research Excellence Framework' which requires certain outputs to be made Open Access in order to be eligible for REF. To find out more and ensure that your outputs meet this requirement click here.
