In my research in the field of collaboration and convergence between science and art and culture,I started to focus on weather manipulation as a subject. The “Weather is on the change” project was commissioned by KAIST University, Korea for the first KAIST SHuM Project, 1st Exhibition KAIST Science Humanity Muses Project.Following an invitation for the project, organized by international renown art critic and curator, Dr. Park Soojin, I participated in this event. KAIST (formally the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), is located in Daejon, South Korea. KAIST is the nation's first research oriented science and engineering institution. The QS-The Times World University Rankings in the year of 2012 placed KAIST 24th in Engineering and Technology. The project is discussed and peer reviewed in several Korean publications. The installation will be acquired as permanent exhibit in the University. It is a revised version of WSM2 CO2 Absorber and models of the WSMI including full description. It also contains models of different potential weather manipulation devices and their history. Finally the a 2D documentation about arctic resources, seaways and claims of territory by different nations is displayed, accompanied by a list of “Advantages of Global warming” I found in the internet. The whole installation looks almost like documentation. But it is an artefact that uses habits of presentation to create an entirely new meaning and context.
