Abstract

This chapter focuses on the overlap between crime and social policy that is highlighted by the case of social security fraud. Using a comparative perspective, the chapter considers the extent to which social security fraud legislation in the UK and Australia diminishes the ability of social security claimants to attain social citizenship.
