Abstract

In the exhibition "Dwindling Abundance" Doris Rohr and Michael Geddis respond to the fragile beauty of Strangford Lough’s and North Down coastal marine life. Both artists value the process of drawing as a means of slowing down and meditatively approaching and expressing their shared ecological concerns. Their creative process is driven by analytical and poetic approaches of observation, memory and imagination. This exhibition reflects the sheer diversity of marine life-forms by counter-posing the minute with the leviathan.
