Abstract

Workplace environments have been shown to betypical environments where high levels of sedentary behaviorexist. In our current work we have aimed to develop a low costand robust monitoring approach that can be used in conjunctionwith variable posture desks for the purposes of monitoring levelsof activities. Measurements from sensor devices cansubsequently be used as inputs to an intervention frameworkwhereby, during periods of inactivity, users are encouraged tochange their behavior.
