This case study is a milestone marker in the development of teaching and assessment for introductory modules in Computer Aided Design (CAD) taught to undergraduate students across two Schools in the Faculty of Art Design and the Built Environment at the University of Ulster. For context, AutoCAD was traditionally taught by didactic means in these modules. During the last three years screen casting software (Camtasia) has been utilised to enhance the teaching, facilitate different learning styles and allow students to control their own learning. This has received very positive feedback from the students and has been disseminated via this conference in an earlier year.
